A woman has been spotted allegedly breaking off the centre branch of an established Frangipani tree in the front yard of a Kirkoswald Ave Mosman home on Friday, 3rd November 2023 at 11:25am and loading it into the boot of her car.
Local legend gardener Scott Dooley was asked to comment on the impact it could have on the mature and rare variety.
“It makes me very upset because that branch could have taken ten years to grow,” he said.
“The tree will take time to recover, and the pink frangipani’s grow more slowly than the white ones.”
